The game was available day-one through PS Plus and Xbox Game Pass, contributing to its rapid player base growth. However, Remedy is "unsatisfied" with the sales and plans to turn the game around through targeted marketing, community engagement, and a major update in late September, including a reworked opening to address "frustrating" early gameplay. Meanwhile, Remedy's other projects, such as Alan Wake 2, Control, and the Max Payne 1 & 2 Remake, continue to progress positively, with the company reporting a 63.5% increase in revenue for Q2 2025.
