Aces’ peerless A’ja Wilson wins record fourth WNBA MVP award

A'ja Wilson, the star player of the Las Vegas Aces, has been named the WNBA MVP for a record-breaking fourth time. The 29-year-old was also awarded the Co-Defensive Player of the Year accolade. Wilson's previous MVP wins were in 2020, 2022, and 2024, making her the only player to achieve this feat. She joins the ranks of Sheryl Swoopes, Lisa Leslie, and Lauren Jackson, who each won the award three times. Wilson and former Houston Comets star Cynthia Cooper are the only players to have won the MVP award unanimously, with Cooper being the only other player to win it in consecutive years, doing so in the first two seasons of the WNBA (1997-98).
