I have no relationship with Trump, Brazil's President Lula tells BBC

In an interview with the BBC, Brazil's President Lula denied having any relationship with former US President Donald Trump. Lula stated that Trump is "not the emperor of the world" and emphasized that Brazil is an independent country that will make its own decisions. The Brazilian leader dismissed the idea of a close relationship with Trump, saying they have never met in person. Lula also criticized Trump's actions during his presidency, suggesting that he did not respect the sovereignty of other nations. The interview comes at a time when Brazil and the United States are seeking to rebuild their diplomatic ties after a period of strained relations under the Trump administration. Lula's comments underscored his intention to chart an independent course for Brazil on the global stage, prioritizing the country's own interests over external influences.
