Trump moves nuclear submarines after Russian ex-president's comments

The article reports that US President Donald Trump has ordered the deployment of two nuclear submarines in "appropriate regions" following comments made by Russian former President Dmitry Medvedev. Medvedev, who is currently the deputy chairman of Russia's Security Council, had warned that the West's support for Ukraine could lead to a "third world war." In response, President Trump stated that the two nuclear submarines were being sent to the relevant areas, though he did not provide further details about their locations or the specific nature of the deployment. The article suggests that this move by the US is a direct reaction to the comments made by the Russian official, reflecting the ongoing geopolitical tensions between the US and Russia, particularly in the context of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
