Spotify introduces an in-app messaging feature

Spotify has introduced a new in-app messaging feature, allowing users to share playlists, songs, and podcasts within the app without having to use external platforms. This feature, similar to social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok, is designed to complement existing sharing options. The Messages feature can be accessed through the user's profile photo and will recommend accounts based on previous interactions. Users can start conversations, approve message requests, and access chat history within the app. The feature is currently rolling out to both free and premium users over the age of 16, but it is limited to mobile devices in select markets.
