‘Really tough decision’: US captain Keegan Bradley does not pick himself for Ryder Cup

Keegan Bradley, the World No. 11 golfer, has decided not to pick himself for the Ryder Cup team despite strong temptation. The US Ryder Cup captain has instead selected Justin Thomas, Collin Morikawa, Ben Griffin, Patrick Cantlay, Cameron Young, and Sam Burns to support the six automatic qualifiers. Bradley described it as a "really tough decision" and admitted that it "broke [his] heart not to play." However, he believes his selfless act can turn into points for the US team at the Ryder Cup in Bethpage in September. The decision marks the end of the prospect of a first Ryder Cup playing captain since Arnold Palmer in 1963.
