Unyielding Aces rally late to edge Mercury in WNBA finals opener

In the opening game of the WNBA finals, the Las Vegas Aces rallied late to defeat the Phoenix Mercury 89-86. The Mercury had control for much of the game, leading by as many as 9 points in the third quarter and holding a 76-70 advantage with just over 8 minutes remaining. However, a crucial technical foul on Satou Sabally of the Mercury shifted the momentum in favor of the Aces.
