Trump cites Murdoch's age to seek swift deposition in Epstein case

Former President Donald Trump's legal team has requested a swift deposition of Rupert Murdoch, the 94-year-old media mogul, in a case related to Jeffrey Epstein. Trump's lawyers argue that Murdoch's advanced age and "recent significant health scares" may make it difficult for him to testify in person. The request is part of a broader legal battle between Trump and Dominion Voting Systems, which is suing the former president for his claims of election fraud. Dominion has subpoenaed Murdoch and other Fox News executives, seeking their testimony on the network's coverage of the 2020 election. Trump's team is seeking to depose Murdoch before Dominion's legal action, citing the media mogul's age and health concerns. The case highlights the ongoing legal and political tensions surrounding the 2020 election and the role of media organizations in shaping the public discourse.
