Battlefield 6 Has CoD-Like Launch With 6.5 Million Copies Sold In First Days - Report

Battlefield 6, the latest installment in the popular first-person shooter franchise, has reportedly sold 6.5 million copies across all platforms in its first few days, according to an analyst report. This figure is said to be close to Call of Duty-level numbers, a significant achievement for Electronic Arts (EA). The report breaks down the sales by platform, with Steam accounting for the majority at 65.7%, followed by PS5 (23.7%) and Xbox Series X|S (19.6%). On Steam, Battlefield 6 has set a new concurrent player record for an EA game, surpassing even the free-to-play Apex Legends. While the game has had a successful launch, experts believe that Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will still outperform Battlefield 6 in overall sales. The first season of Battlefield 6 content, including a new battle royale mode, is set to launch on October 28, with further updates planned for November and December.
