Proton Mail’s updated app adds an offline mode

Proton, the encrypted email service, has released a major update for its Mail app, which includes a new offline mode and a refreshed layout. The offline mode allows users to read, write, and compose emails even without an internet connection, with messages syncing once the device is back online. This feature is particularly useful for users who need to stay on top of their inbox while on flights or in areas with limited connectivity. In addition to the offline mode, Proton has also made several design changes to the app, including moving the Compose button to the bottom of the screen for easier access. The company claims that scrolling, archiving, and replying to emails are now "twice as fast" compared to previous versions of the app. The updated app is available on both iOS and Android, and the features are now consistent across both platforms, with Android users gaining the ability to snooze and schedule messages.
