Windows 11 Notepad gets improved context menus in latest update

Microsoft's Notepad app has been receiving several new features, transforming it into a more modern and capable text editor. The latest update for Windows 11 Notepad includes improved context menus, which now match the look and feel of the Windows 11 24H2 context menus. The updated context menu offers quick actions such as Copy, Cut, Paste, Select all, and Delete, as well as additional features like Write, Rewrite, Summarize, and Define with Bing. These enhancements come as Microsoft has discontinued the WordPad application, and Notepad seems to be filling that gap by becoming a more versatile and feature-rich text editor. While the updated Notepad version 11.2507.26.0 is currently rolling out to Windows Insiders, users on non-Insider versions of Windows 11 can also access it through a somewhat complex process. The general public is expected to receive this new Notepad update in September or October.
