Acer’s latest Spin 514 is so close to Chromebook greatness
Acer's latest Chromebook Spin 514 is a promising device, though it falls short of being a true standout in the Chromebook market. The Spin 514 boasts impressive battery life and zippy performance, as well as a good touchscreen with stylus support. However, it is held back by its poor-quality speakers and the lack of a fingerprint sensor, making its $700 price tag harder to justify. While it is one of Acer's better Spin-series Chromebooks, it falls short of dethroning the current favorite, the Lenovo Chromebook Plus 14.
