Perplexity releases AI-driven email assistant for Gmail and Outlook

Perplexity, an AI company known for its free AI-powered answer engine, has launched a new AI-driven email assistant for Gmail and Outlook. The Perplexity Email Assistant can help users maintain better control over their email by writing email drafts in their own tone, organizing messages, suggesting meeting times, and participating in email threads to save time. The assistant can also be used to find specific emails, get summaries of emails related to a particular topic, and perform other tasks. Perplexity emphasizes that the Email Assistant is secure and compliant with SOC 2 and GDPR, and it does not train on users' data. The Email Assistant is currently available exclusively to Perplexity's Max subscription plan, which costs $200 per month. The service works with both Gmail and Outlook, and Max subscribers can sign up for the Email Assistant through Perplexity's website.
