Google adds Video Overviews to NotebookLM
Google has introduced a new feature called Video Overviews in its research tool, NotebookLM. The feature automatically creates videos on requested topics, pulling data from a user's uploaded images, diagrams, quotes, and documents. While the videos are currently limited to English and take the form of slideshows with narration, Google says they are "uniquely effective for explaining data, demonstrating processes and making abstract concepts more tangible." The company plans to expand the toolset in the future, and has also updated the NotebookLM's Studio tab with a visual refresh. Additionally, Google has released an official NotebookLM app and started offering curated "featured notebooks" for users to experiment with, and has made audio-only overviews available in over 50 languages.
