AMD Ryzen CPUs just got stock cooler downgrades (or eliminations)

AMD has made changes to the stock coolers included with some of its Ryzen CPUs. The well-liked Wraith Prism and Wraith Spire coolers will no longer be included after August 1st, 2025. Instead, some Ryzen 5000, 7000, and 8000G series CPUs will come with the more basic Wraith Stealth cooler, which has a smaller 92mm fan and no RGB lighting. Additionally, the Ryzen 7 7700 and Ryzen 9 9700 will no longer come with any stock cooler, as these high-end CPUs are assumed to be paired with more premium cooling solutions by system builders. This change is likely due to AMD's need to offset losses from US tariffs, as well as the assumption that users building high-end systems will be purchasing their own aftermarket coolers.
