Tag Heuer made a smartwatch with New Balance
Tag Heuer has unveiled its latest luxury smartwatch, the Connected Calibre E5, in partnership with New Balance. The smartwatch features a striking purple and green color scheme reminiscent of the Evangelion anime. The watch is made of Grade 2 titanium and comes with a flexible strap inspired by New Balance sneakers. The device offers outdoor-readable screens, dual-band GPS, and a battery that can be fully charged in 90 minutes. It is powered by a Snapdragon 5100+ chip and comes equipped with a heart rate monitor, steps counter, blood oxygen saturation monitor, and sleep tracker. The watch runs on a new, untested operating system and includes preloaded New Balance training plans for marathons and 10K races, as well as "gamified prompts" and post-run data visualizations. Despite the premium price tag of over $2,000, the company offers a range of case materials and strap combinations, with some versions starting at $1,600.
