Musk’s AI startup sues OpenAI and Apple over anticompetitive conduct

Elon Musk's AI startup xAI has filed a lawsuit against OpenAI and Apple, accusing them of anticompetitive conduct. The lawsuit, filed in a Texas court, alleges that the companies are involved in a "conspiracy to monopolize the markets for smartphones and generative AI chatbots". Musk had previously threatened to sue Apple and OpenAI, claiming that Apple was making it difficult for other AI companies to succeed on its app store. This comes as xAI's Grok chatbot has struggled to gain the same level of prominence as OpenAI's ChatGPT. The lawsuit is the latest development in the ongoing competition within the AI industry, where companies are vying for dominance in the rapidly evolving chatbot market.
