OpenAI says ChatGPT users send over 2.5 billion prompts every day
OpenAI's ChatGPT is seeing rapid growth, with over 2.5 billion requests daily, or 912.5 billion requests annually. This includes 330 million requests from users in the US. While still behind Google's 5 trillion annual searches, ChatGPT's user base has spiked from 300 million weekly users in December to over 500 million in March. OpenAI has also announced plans to release an AI-powered web browser, which will compete with Google Chrome, and the launch of ChatGPT Agent, a tool that can complete tasks on users' computers.
