Warhammer 40K: Darktide Update Expands Roguelike Mode, Adds New Weapons

Warhammer 40K: Darktide's latest update, Bound by Duty, introduces significant content expansions, particularly for the game's Mortis Trials roguelike mode. The update adds a new arena, the Theatre of Rectitude, as well as new Indulgence archetypes that provide new combat styles. Additionally, the update expands NPC backstories through the addition of Memory Echoes. For the game's mission-based gameplay, the update introduces a new weapon for the Veteran class, the Power Falchion, and new Mark variants of the Bolt Pistol and Boltgun that emphasize explosive damage. A new enemy type, the Scab Plasma Gunner, also joins the fray, posing a significant threat with its powerful Plasma weapon. The update also includes balancing changes to the talent trees for the Veteran, Zealot, Psyker, Ogryn, and Arbites classes, aiming to provide more flexibility and player agency. A new dodge counter feature and a Smuggled Munitions event, where players take on squads of Plasma Gun enemies in low visibility conditions, round out the update.
