Shenmue 3 Enhanced Announced And Coming To Xbox And Nintendo Consoles For The First Time

Shenmue 3 Enhanced, an upgraded version of the 2019 game, has been announced by Inin Games and Yu Suzuki. The new edition will be released on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo platforms, marking the first time the series has appeared on a Nintendo console. The enhanced version features improved visuals, performance boosts, and various quality-of-life updates, such as sharpter textures, richer details, faster load times, and smoother gameplay. It will also include 4K texture uplift, DLSS/FSR support, increased NPC density, and the option to play with a classic camera mode. Additionally, the game will offer gameplay tweaks, including optional stamina system adjustments, health restoration before fights, and reduced money barriers to ease the progression of the story. Players will also have the ability to skip cutscenes and dialogue, while the QTE timing window has been expanded. The enhancements aim to address some of the criticisms of the original Shenmue 3, while still allowing players to toggle these changes to preserve the original experience.
