Footballer Thomas Partey pleads not guilty to rape and sexual assault

Former Arsenal footballer Thomas Partey has pleaded not guilty to five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault at Southwark crown court. The 32-year-old Ghanaian international, who now plays for Villarreal, is accused of raping two women and sexually assaulting a third woman between 2021 and 2022. Partey's trial is scheduled for November 2026, and he remains able to play for both Villarreal and the Ghanaian national team during the legal proceedings.
