Razer’s newest BlackWidow gaming keyboards go low-profile
Razer's new BlackWidow gaming keyboards now come in low-profile designs, featuring custom switches in linear, tactile, and clicky varieties. The keyboards are 18.5mm thick and offer features like Chroma lighting, 2.4GHz and Bluetooth wireless, and a 980-hour battery life. While the new BlackWidow V4 Low-Profile HyperSpeed keyboards deliver similar performance to their thicker counterparts, they lack some notable features. The switches are not hot-swappable, and the polling rate is limited to 1000Hz, which may not satisfy the most demanding gamers. The new low-profile BlackWidow keyboards are priced at $200 for the tenkeyless (TKL) version and $230 for the full-size model, which is in line with Razer's DeathStalker series but still a significant investment, especially without the hot-swap capability.
