Max Scherzer rolls back years as Blue Jays even ALCS with win over Mariners

Max Scherzer, the 41-year-old veteran pitcher, delivered a vintage performance as the Toronto Blue Jays defeated the Seattle Mariners 8-2 in Game 4 of the American League Championship Series. Scherzer allowed two runs in five and two-thirds innings, while Andrés Giménez homered and drove in four runs for the Blue Jays. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. also hit his fifth home run of the postseason, helping the Blue Jays even the series at two games apiece. The Blue Jays have now outscored the Mariners 21-6 in Seattle after losing the first two games at home.
