The video was shared on the same day that thousands in Iran attended a funeral for an estimated 175 civilians killed in these attacks, which reportedly demolished an elementary school. The White House denies responsibility for this particular attack but is reportedly looking into it. It remains unclear whether Activision or Microsoft, the parent company of Call of Duty, consented to the use of the footage. Microsoft has faced criticism in recent years for its alleged support of Israel's involvement in what has been recognized as a genocide in Palestine. The use of video game footage by the Trump administration to promote its political agenda is not the first time, as the Department of Homeland Security has previously used similar tactics.
