Microsoft’s Copilot is coming to inject AI into your Windows PC games

Microsoft is rolling out an AI-powered tool called Gaming Copilot to Windows 11 users, excluding mainland China. The feature, previously exclusive to the Xbox Insider Program, can now be accessed through the Game Bar and offers various functionalities. Gaming Copilot can "see" your gameplay and provide relevant tips and tricks. Users can also converse with the AI using voice commands or share screenshots for specific assistance. Additionally, the tool can provide information about your past achievements and play history, leveraging the integration with the Xbox platform. Interestingly, the AI-enhanced feature will only be available to players aged 18 and older, possibly due to concerns about the potential issues faced by Microsoft's AI partner, OpenAI, with adolescents. The capabilities of Gaming Copilot are expected to expand to the Xbox mobile app in October.
