Carlos Alcaraz laughs off ‘horrendous’ US Open haircut after brother’s clippers slip
Carlos Alcaraz, the 2022 US Open champion, was given a "horrendous" haircut by his brother while his usual barber was absent. The new style, which received criticism from fellow player Frances Tiafoe, was described by Alcaraz as a challenge he had to face before his first-round match against the 6ft 11in Reilly Opelka, who serves at 145mph. Despite the unexpected grooming mishap, Alcaraz was able to focus on his tennis and successfully defend his US Open title.
