Late Ineos call-up Ben Turner caps ‘crazy week’ by sprinting to Vuelta stage win

British rider Ben Turner of Ineos Grenadiers won stage four of the Vuelta a España, outsprinting Jasper Philipsen (Alpecin-Deceuninck) at the finish line. Turner's win came after a "crazy week" of being called up as a late replacement for the Ineos team. The 206.7km stage from Susa, Italy to Voiron, France saw the red jersey change hands, with Frenchman David Gaudu taking over the overall lead from Jonas Vingegaard. Philipsen was well-positioned in the finale, with his Alpecin-Deceuninck teammate Edward Planckaert leading him out, but Turner timed his sprint perfectly to claim his first Grand Tour stage victory.
