Author Rie Qudan: Why I used ChatGPT to write my prize-winning novel

Rie Qudan, a 34-year-old Japanese novelist, used ChatGPT to write parts of her award-winning novel, "Sympathy Tower Tokyo." The book's use of AI technology attracted controversy in Japan, but Qudan is not bothered by it. She believes that even if her work is copied, there is a part of her that will remain unique and uncopyable. Qudan is confident in her writing abilities and does not feel that the AI technology can replace the human element in her work. The English-language translation of "Sympathy Tower Tokyo" is set to be published soon.
