Manny Pacquiao turns back clock but settles for draw with Mario Barrios

Manny Pacquiao, the 46-year-old boxing legend, returned to the ring after a four-year hiatus, facing off against the WBC welterweight champion, Mario Barrios, who is 16 years his junior. Despite Pacquiao's impressive performance, out-throwing, out-landing, and out-hustling Barrios for large parts of the fight, the bout ended in a majority draw. Barrios managed to win the final three rounds on all three scorecards, with one judge scoring the fight 115-113 in his favor and the other two scoring it 114-114, allowing the 30-year-old Texan to retain his title by the narrowest of margins. The Guardian, however, scored the fight 115-113 in favor of Pacquiao. The article highlights Pacquiao's spirited comeback and his ability to turn back the clock, but ultimately, the result was a draw, with Barrios keeping his WBC welterweight title.
