Alexander Isak not part of Newcastle squad for pre-season friendlies in Asia
Alexander Isak, the Swedish striker, will not be joining the Newcastle United squad for their pre-season friendlies in Asia due to a minor thigh injury. Isak had previously been a transfer target for Liverpool. The club has taken a squad of 30 players to Asia, with Isak being the only notable absentee. Newcastle will play against Arsenal in Singapore on Sunday, followed by matches against a K League XI and Tottenham in South Korea.
