Amorim backs Fernandes to stay on Manchester United penalties despite misses

Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has expressed his support for Bruno Fernandes to remain the team's main penalty taker, despite the midfielder missing two out of the three spot-kicks awarded to the team this season. Fernandes has scored 70 penalties in his career, but has missed two this season - in the 1-1 draw at Fulham and the 3-1 defeat at Brentford. He did, however, score from the spot in the 3-2 win over Burnley. Amorim stated that Fernandes' penalty record is impressive, with the player missing only nine penalties out of 70 attempts, including two during Amorim's tenure. The manager also acknowledged that United are preparing for a "hostile Anfield" as they face Liverpool in their upcoming match.
