Diablo Boss Departs Blizzard After Five Years

Rod Fergusson, the general manager and face of the Diablo series at Blizzard, is leaving the company after five years. During his tenure, he oversaw the release of several major Diablo projects, including Diablo II Resurrected, Diablo Immortal, and Diablo IV with its first expansion, Vessel of Hatred. Fergusson announced his departure on Twitter, stating that the teams are set up for success, and he is proud of what they have built together. Prior to Blizzard, Fergusson had a long stint at The Coalition, the Xbox-owned studio that primarily works on the Gears of War franchise, where he helped shepherd the development of several games in the series. Fergusson's next move has not been disclosed.
