A New PlayStation Presentation, Possibly A State Of Play, Is Coming Next Week - Report

Sony is reportedly planning a new PlayStation event for next week, according to a reliable leaker. The event could be a State of Play or a Showcase, though the latter has not been held in over two years. The last two State of Play events have focused on single games, such as the first-party exclusive Ghost of Tsushima and the upcoming James Bond title 007: First Light. If the report is accurate, this would mean two major PlayStation events in one month. One game that could be featured at the potential event is Marvel's Wolverine from Insomniac Games, which is reportedly scheduled for a 2026 release. Other possibilities include Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet from Naughty Dog and Saros from Returnal developer Housemarque, as well as various third-party titles. Sony has not officially announced any upcoming PlayStation event, but the company has held five State of Play events so far this year.
