Nolberto Solano: ‘I would like to play like Klopp but you need to be realistic’

Nolberto Solano, the former Newcastle and Peru winger, has become the head coach of the Pakistan national team. He is the first Peruvian to feature in the Premier League and the first to play in an FA Cup final. Solano has taken on the challenge of leading Pakistan's men's team to their first Asian Cup. He replaced the Englishman Stephen Constantine as the head coach in July. Solano faces crucial back-to-back qualifiers for the 2027 tournament against Afghanistan, Syria, and Myanmar. Despite the challenges, Solano is clear on his ambitions to make the team more competitive.
