Gears Of War: Reloaded Facing Steam Crashes And Matchmaking Problems

Gears of War: Reloaded, a remastered version of the 2006 original game, has faced several issues since its launch this week. The PC version has received "mixed" reviews on Steam, with players reporting crashing problems and the lack of features like an FOV slider. Console players have also reported matchmaking problems. Additionally, the game has been criticized for the absence of split-screen co-op on PC, which was previously advertised as a selling point. Microsoft has acknowledged the issues and is investigating the crashes on Steam and the missing preorder character skins, as well as the matchmaking problems. The company has provided a possible workaround for the Steam crashing issues, suggesting that players delete the WarGame folder in the C:\Users\[YourUsername]\AppData\Local\Coalition directory. Gears of War: Reloaded marks the franchise's debut on PlayStation, after being exclusive to Xbox on console for 19 years. The next Gears of War game, Gears of War: E-Day, is scheduled to launch in 2026.
