Terence Crawford stuns Canelo Álvarez to become undisputed super middleweight champion

Terence "Bud" Crawford, the 37-year-old American boxer, stunned Saúl "Canelo" Álvarez, the Mexican superstar, to become the undisputed super-middleweight champion of the world. The fight took place on Saturday night in Las Vegas, before a record crowd of 70,482 at Allegiant Stadium, with the majority supporting Álvarez. Crawford moved up two weight classes to hand Álvarez only the third defeat of his career, winning the fight by unanimous decision with scores of 116-112, 115-113, and 115-113. The victory improves Crawford's record to 42-0 with 31 knockouts, cementing his place as one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world.
