The Stop Killing Games movement is nearing an official meeting with EU lawmakers

The Stop Killing Games campaign, which aims to enact legislation to preserve access to video games even when developers end support, has gained significant momentum. The initiative has secured around 1.45 million signatures, with organizers currently verifying their validity. The European Commission will have three months to verify the signatures once they are submitted, after which the organizers plan to personally deliver the petition. If the threshold of one million verified signatures is met, the next step will be to get meetings with the European Commission and the European Parliament. The EU will have six months to decide on the matter, and the organizers are preparing to ensure the initiative cannot be ignored, including reaching out to lawmakers and countering any industry lobbying.
