Trump loomed over sport like never before in 2025. Next year he will take even more

In 2025, US President Donald Trump's presence in the world of sports was unprecedented, as he frequently attended major events like the Super Bowl, Daytona 500, and the US Open. However, the article suggests that in 2026, Trump's involvement in sports will become even more prominent, with the World Cup, Olympics, and a UFC card at the White House lawn all on the horizon. The article portrays Trump's growing obsession with sports, describing his "well-documented fondness for jumbotrons" and how his visits to stadiums, arenas, and golf courses have become a regular part of his job. The article suggests that the American presidency is no longer just intersecting with sports, but is threatening to subsume it entirely.
