Benfica in talks to appoint José Mourinho after sacking Bruno Lage
Benfica have sacked their manager, Bruno Lage, after a 3-2 defeat against Qarabag in the Champions League. The Portuguese club is now in advanced talks to appoint José Mourinho as their new manager. Mourinho, who previously managed Benfica briefly in 2000, is available after leaving Fenerbahce last month. Benfica are set to face Mourinho's former club, Chelsea, later this month in the Champions League.
