Apple is winding down Clips, its forgotten video-editing app

Apple is discontinuing its video-editing app, Clips, which was introduced in 2017. The company has stopped updating the app, and new users can no longer download it from the App Store. Existing users on iOS and iPadOS will still have access to the app, but Apple has not specified how long that will last. Clips offered a range of editing tools geared towards creating videos for social media, but it never gained significant popularity, with many of its features now being standard on social media apps. Apple has advised Clips users to save their videos to their photo libraries or elsewhere, as the app's future is uncertain.
