Nintendo of America boss Doug Bowser is retiring

Doug Bowser, the president of Nintendo of America, is retiring from his position. He has been in the role for six years and oversaw significant growth and expansion for the company, including ventures into theme parks, feature films, and the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2. Bowser's retirement will be effective on December 31st, 2025, and he will be replaced by Devon Pritchard, the current executive vice president of Nintendo of America. Additionally, Satoru Shibata, a managing executive officer and corporate director at Nintendo's headquarters in Kyoto, will be appointed as the CEO of Nintendo of America. Pritchard has praised Bowser's leadership and contributions, and looks forward to building upon the foundation he has established.
