Aura just announced an incredibly thin color e-ink photo frame

Aura, a reputable digital photo frame company, has announced the Ink, a 13-inch color e-ink photo frame that is only 0.6 inches thick, making it the "thinnest e-paper frame available." The Ink features a rechargeable battery that can power the device for up to three months, addressing the common issue of traditional digital frames requiring constant power. To overcome the limited color palette of e-ink technology, Aura has developed a proprietary dithering algorithm that creates the illusion of full-color photographs. The frame also includes an integrated front light that adjusts to ambient conditions and shuts off at night. Despite these advanced features, the Aura Ink comes with a high-end price tag of $500.
