Jannik Sinner retires with cramp to give Griekspoor victory at Shanghai Masters

Jannik Sinner, the Italian player, was forced to retire from his third-round match at the Shanghai Masters against Tallon Griekspoor of the Netherlands. Sinner was trailing Griekspoor 6-7 (3), 7-5, 3-2 when he had to withdraw due to cramps caused by the heat and humidity in Shanghai. The conditions have been challenging for players during the final weeks of the season, with high temperatures and humidity making it difficult to compete. In a separate event, American player Amanda Anisimova won the China Open in Beijing.
