Marvel Rivals Season 3 Introduces Resource Rumble Mode And The Throne Of Knull Map

Marvel Rivals Season 3 has introduced several new developments to the game. The Abyss Awakens storyline has seen the addition of Jean Grey (Phoenix) and Blade to the character lineup. Later this month, NetEase is introducing a new game mode called Resource Rumble, where teams compete to gather the most resource points, with the ability to steal victory from rivals. The new Throne of Knull map, set on the planet Klyntar, the home of the Symbiotes, features Knull, the main enemy of Season 3, trapped on his throne, but absorbing Phoenix's flames. The Resource Rumble mode will take place on this map. Additionally, NetEase is launching an event called Ancient Powers Awaken on August 21, offering new epic rewards and a free Old Man Strange costume for Doctor Strange. Improvements to the matchmaking and ranking systems are also planned. NetEase has also announced plans to combat toxic player behavior by recording all voice chat in Marvel Rivals. The company has indicated that it is not reliant on the Marvel Cinematic Universe schedule and may introduce original characters in the future.
