Tesla’s standard-range Model 3, Model Y join the lineup

Tesla has expanded its lineup by introducing standard-range versions of the Model 3 sedan and Model Y crossover. These new models feature a smaller battery pack and fewer standard features, resulting in lower prices compared to the previous long-range variants. The standard-range Model 3 now starts at $43,990, while the standard-range Model Y has a starting price of $51,990. This represents a reduction of $3,000 and $4,000, respectively, from the previous long-range models. Despite the price cuts, the standard-range versions still maintain Tesla's advanced technology and performance characteristics. However, the reduced battery capacity and feature set may not be enough to significantly increase the appeal of these models to a broader customer base. The introduction of the standard-range options aims to make Tesla's vehicles more accessible to a wider range of consumers, particularly those seeking a more affordable entry point into the company's electric vehicle lineup.
