Blackpool sack Steve Bruce after one year in charge of League One club

Blackpool Football Club has sacked their manager, Steve Bruce, after just one year in charge. The 64-year-old was appointed in September 2024, replacing Neil Critchley, and led the team to a ninth-place finish in League One last season. However, a poor start to the current campaign, including a 2-0 home defeat against AFC Wimbledon, their seventh loss in 11 league games, has resulted in Bruce's dismissal. Blackpool are currently second from the bottom in the League One table.
