Activision has unveiled new anti-cheat measures for the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 open beta, set to begin on October 2. The measures include enhanced in-game detection powered by advanced machine learning and legal actions against those attempting to monetize cheats. The primary tools being used are the Secure Boot and TPM 2.0 requirements for the PC version, alongside the latest iteration of the Ricochet anti-cheat software. Activision has also stated that it will be removing cheaters in real-time as they are detected. While these upgrades may not completely eliminate cheating, the goal of the open beta is to test the effectiveness of these measures under live conditions, with the learnings used to further strengthen the systems before the game's official launch on November 14.
