Cards' Contreras ejected, hits own coach with bat
In a game between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Pittsburgh Pirates, first baseman Willson Contreras was ejected from the game in the seventh inning. Following a called third strike, Contreras reacted by throwing a bat, which accidentally hit his own coach. After being ejected, Contreras also tossed gum onto the field. The incident occurred during the Cardinals' 7-6 victory over the Pirates.
