Dolby has announced Dolby Vision 2, an upgraded version of its proprietary HDR standard. The new standard incorporates AI technology to intelligently adapt the viewing experience based on the content and the environment. Key features include: - A more powerful image engine to improve the viewing experience for existing Dolby Vision content. - Content Intelligence, an AI-powered technology that adjusts the display based on the content and viewing environment, including ambient-light detection and specific adjustments for live sports and gaming. - Precision Black, which aims to improve the clarity of dark scenes without compromising artistic intent. - Authentic Motion, a "creative-driven motion control tool" to provide a more cinematic experience.
