Borderlands 4 Would Still Be "Worth It" At 5X The Price, Gearbox Boss Says
Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford has commented on the pricing of Borderlands 4, stating that even if the game was priced five times higher than the current $70 standard edition, it would still be "worth it" for players. Pitchford acknowledged that the cost-of-living crisis might make the price a challenge for some, but he believes the game offers exceptional value. He also said that while the online conversation around pricing matters, it ultimately doesn't determine the final decision, which is made by Gearbox, 2K Games, and Take-Two. Pitchford emphasized that Gearbox has always aimed to deliver fair value to consumers, and he is "thrilled" with the $70 price point for the standard edition of Borderlands 4.
